Richard Grant Lowe, 85, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the Veterans’ Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Graveside services will be 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Parkway Cemetery. Visitation will be at Culpepper Funeral Home in Kosciusko on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:15 A.M. He was born April 24, 1934 in Leake County, Mississippi to the late Charlie and Lora Turner Lowe. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Lowe; brothers Bruce, Billy, Bobby Lowe; and sister Frances Plunkett. Richard was a member of Ethel Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from Bell South after 35 years. He is survived by sons Grant Lowe (Kim), Andrew Lowe (Jackie), Terry Ellington (Betty), and Tommy Ellington; daughter Sandra Howard (Larry); twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
