Mr. Johnnie Lamar Martin age 82, passed away Thursday November 21, 2019 at his residence in Lawrence, MS. A visitation will be held Saturday November 23, 2019 at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral services will be held Sunday November 24, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Lake at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at Pine Ridge Baptist Cemetery in Lawrence, MS. Brother Ken McLemore will officiate. Mr. Martin was a native of Neshoba County, MS. He lived in Lawrence for the past 25 years after moving from Pearl, MS. A Baptist by faith, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, garden, and tend to his cattle. He was an active member of FBC of Lake. He is preceded in death by his parents; Emmitt and Alma Martin; his wife, Earline Martin; and brother, Ted Martin. He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Clanton (Barry) Lawrence, MS; son, Garry Martin of Lawrence, MS; sisters, Jo Tadlock of Pelahatchie, MS; Doris Hataway of Meridian, MS, Sarah Whitehead of Lake Charles, LA; brother, Jerry Martin of Pelahatchie, MS; four grandchildren, Bridgette Ellis, Lindsey Hollingsworth, Daniel Clanton, Kaitlin Martin; six great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Al Tadlock, Wesley Martin, Donald Williamson, Malcolm Williamson, Bryan Williamson and Keith Clark.
