Alfred Penton

Alfred Edward “Speedy” Penton, age 84, of Carriere, MS passed away Friday, March 06, 2015 at his residence. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at George Ford Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home. Mr. Penton was Veteran of the U.S. Army, a bricklayer, and of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by four brothers, Ernest Penton of Pearl River, Louisiana, Everett Penton of McNeill, Eugene Penton of Carriere, and Edmond Penton of Carriere; three sisters, Evelyn Estelle Garretson of Carriere, Eula Fleming of Picayune, and Ester Smith of Poplarville. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred W. Penton and Irma C. Penton; four brothers, Elliott Penton, Ellis Penton, Elvin Penton, and Edgar Penton; and one sister, Edna Moody.
