Dorothy Jean Varnado, age 80, of Picayune passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009 at LSU-Bogalusa Medical Center, Bogalusa, LA. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 1st at 2:00 p.m. at New Palestine Cemetery, with Bro. R. T. Buckley officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of New Palestine Baptist Church. She is survived by her two sons, Ronald L. Varnado of Picayune and Charles E. Varnado of Gulfport ; two daughters, Darlene Malley of Picayune and Diane Miller of Picayune ;nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
