Francis J. Gillane, age 84, of Slidell, passed away Monday, March 24, 2008 at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, LA. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Darrell Worley officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Mr. Gillane, a former resident of Harahan, LA, was an auto parts clerk and attended Christian Life Assembly of God Church. He is survived by friends, Ralph & Johnnie Durand of Slidell, LA, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
