James “Jim” Ernest Archer, age 39, of Carriere passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Highland Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31st at 1:00 p.m. at Goodyear Baptist Church, with Bro. Gary Killen officiating. Burial will follow at Henleyfield Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 31st at Goodyear Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Jim, a native of Florida, was a U.S. Marine veteran and a member of Goodyear Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Amy D. Archer of Carriere; son, Michael Drennan Archer of Carriere; daughters, Alyssa Marie Archer of Carriere, Katlyn Renee Archer of Carriere and Kersten Taylor Archer of Carriere; father, William W. Archer and wife, Joy of Picayune; mother, Nancy Redmond Burks and husband, Prentiss of Picayune; brothers, Joey Archer of Carriere, Sonny Archer of Picayune, and Judd Burks of Washington.
