James “Mickey” Ashe, age 72, of Poplarville passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 at his residence. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 10th at 10:30 a.m. at the Murray Hill Church of God in the Ford’s Creek Community. James was born in Pearl River County and was a retired Deputy Sheriff with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a Protestant. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Ashe of Poplarville;four sons, Michael A. Ashe of Picayune, James D. Ashe of Nesbitt, MS ,Charles G. Ashe of Carriere and Kelvin P. Ashe of Poplarville ;four brothers, Coy Ashe of Poplarville ,Bobby Ashe of Poplarville, C.J. Ashe of Poplarville and Jimmy Paul Ashe of Melbourne, FL;six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
