James Albert Bontempo, age 69, of Carriere passed away Monday, August 26, 2008 at his residence. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mr. Bontempo, a former resident of New Orleans, was a former computer operator at the “Times-Picayune”, a U. S. Army veteran and a Catholic. He is survived by two daughters, Colleen LeCompte of Carriere and Karen Taylor of Picayune; two brothers, Richard Bontempo and Daniel Bontempo, both of New Orleans, LA; and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gail Bontempo and a son, James Bontempo.
