James Fleet Fortenberry, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at the age of 63.<br><br>James was a long-time resident of Picayune, Mississippi and a member of New Palestine Baptist church. He owned PJ’s Lawnmower and Bicycle shop located in Slidell, Louisiana. He was a third-degree Mason that enjoyed masonry work and hunting in his spare time. He was quite the character and brought smiles to many faces in his lifetime. He will be deeply missed. <br><br>He is survived by one daughter, Angela Van Matre of Idaho; three sons, Johnathan Rahmel (Regina), Jason Rahmel (Pamela), Beau Rahmel (Courtney); two brothers, John Calvin Fortenberry (Dolly) of Slidell, Louisiana, and Jeffrey Glen Fortenberry of New Orleans, Louisiana; two sisters, Suzanna Belle Kirby (John) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Jo Beth Kavanaugh (Mike) of Pearl River, Louisiana; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. <br><br>He is preceded in death by his wife, Penny Fortenberry; parents, Joe Lewis Fortenberry and Betty Carney Fortenberry.<br><br>Visitation will be held 12:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m, at New Palestine Baptist Church, Saturday, October 26, 2019. Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m.<br><br>In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to New Palestine Baptist Church<br>

James Fleet Fortenberry, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at the age of 63.

James was a long-time resident of Picayune, Mississippi and a member of New Palestine Baptist church. He owned PJ’s Lawnmower and Bicycle shop located in Slidell, Louisiana.
