James Patterson

James “Pat” Edward Patterson, age 83, of Picayune passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jeremy Wilson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 17th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home. Pat, a native of Alabama, moved to this area forty-six years ago from Hendersonville, TN. He worked as a pipefitter and traveled extensively for his construction job, but desired to spend his last days in Picayune. He was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church and a Mason. He is survived by his wife, Bonita Patterson of Picayune; three daughters, JoAnn VanAtta of Florida, Martha Kirkland of Oklahoma and Jimele Manberg of Arizona; three brothers, John L. Patterson, Harold Patterson, and Wendell Patterson, all of Alabama; four sisters, Leora Lawrence, Irene Chandler, Bobbie Littleton, and Janice Crumpton, all of Alabama; granddaughter, Dawn (Dr. Jerry) Amundsen; five grandsons, Jimmy (Jamie) Kirkland, J. R. Kirkland, Chris Manberg, Chad Manberg, and Corey Manberg; and five great grandchildren, Alyssa Amundsen, Arik Amundsen, Aden Amundsen, Anna Kirkland and Jackson Kirkland.
