Jean Merk, age 74, of Picayune passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at her residence. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Jean, a former resident of Little River, SC, was a Catholic. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Devillier of Picayune, MS; sons, Timothy Scott Evans, Sr. of Picayune, MS and Tracy Don Evans of Lumberton, MS; grandchildren, Heather Frank, Melissa Evans, Nicole Evans and Timothy Evans, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Frank, Helena Evans, Isaiah Evans and Peyton Evans. She is preceded in death by her brothers, John Frederick, Kenneth Frederick, Donald Frederick, Lindsey Frederick and Richard Frederick.
