Hayden and Bettie Lowe Whetstone Hayden. She graduated from Glen Allan High School and attended Mississippi Delta Community College. She was a housewife in her later years but worked for a number of years in retail sales. She became a District Manager for World Book Encyclopedia and won many awards for her sales productivity. She was first and foremost a very dedicated Christian, and participated in Lay Renewal meetings across the state. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Picayune for many years and served as President of the Women's Missionary Union, taught a ladies Sunday School class and sang in the choir. Later she transferred her membership to Unity Baptist Church where she taught a ladies Sunday School class, sang in the Choir and was a very active member of the WMU and a prayer warrior interceding for others through the Prayer Ministry at the GAP for many years. Her life revolved primarily around her church and she seized every opportunity to witness for the LORD Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her Husband, James Wesley Saunders, her parents, her 3 sisters: Vivian Hayden Barefield, Dorothy Hayden Hurdle, and Earline Hayden Boyd and her Brother, Robert E. Hayden. Jean is survived by son, David S. Holland, Jr. of Brookhaven; daughters, Suzette Saunders Bond (Bobby) of Picayune, and Sandra Holland King (Campbell) of Florence, Alabama; 7 grandchildren: Laura King McKee (Jonathan), Kimberly King Robertson (Bill), Kristin King Allen (Brad), Andrea Holland Wilson (Steve), Todd Hayden Holland (Jamie), Brittany Bond and Brandi Bond and also by 8 great-grandchildren who she adored, sister-in-law, Joann Saunders, and a host of nieces and nephews.
