Leon Smith

Leon Smith, Sr., age 76, of Picayune passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at his residence. Visitation will be Monday, March 15th, 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cedric Lumpkin and Bro. James Reeves officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. He was a retired construction supervisor and a member of Westlawn Baptist Church. Leon loved to bowl and was on several bowling leagues. He was also an avid deer hunter. He was survived by: his wife of 57 years, Maxine Kemp Smith of Picayune; two sons, Leon (Donna) Smith, Jr. of Picayune and Stacy Moffray of Kiln;five daughters, Marsha (Clem) Delacroix of Picayune,Karen (Gary) Easterling of Carriere, Sharon (Benji) McKinnie of Picayune, LeAnn (Vern) Lumpkin of Picayune and Jessi Smith of Picayune; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cruso & Julia Dawsey Smith, one daughter, Julie Guidry, and a brother, J.P. Smith.
