Radford Brandon “Pete” Gunn, III, age 80, of Picayune passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 24th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home, followed by his Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m., with Bro. Jesse Johnson officiating. “Pete” was born in Meridian, Mississippi and moved to Picayune from Wiggins, Mississippi thirty-six years ago. He was the store manager for Pearl River Co-op for thirty years and served with the Air National Guard. He enjoyed building solid wood furniture and salt water fishing. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Betty Gunn of Picayune, Mississippi;four daughters, Deborah Sams of Normangee, Texas ,Theresa Gunn of Nederland, Texas ,Delores “Lori” Rayburn of Wiggins, Mississippi and Linda Gunn of Houston, Texas; two brothers, William Mason of Charleston, South Carolina and Jere Gunn of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; one sister, Elizabeth “Beth” Nobles of Loveland, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Ben, Zech, Luke, Cody, Mandy and Kelly ;one great-grandchild, Mitchell. He is preceded in death by two grandsons, Brandon Sams and Kevin Rayburn.
