Sadie Claire M. D’Antoni, age 84, of Carriere, MS passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Highland Community Hospital. Visitation will be Thursday, July 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with Father Mike Snyder officiating. Claire was born in New Orleans, LA and moved to Carriere from Marrero, LA. She retired from the Jefferson Parish School System as a Reading Consultant and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She is survived by one son, Gary Lynn D’Antoni of Richmond, Texas ;two daughters, Ann Claire Michel of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Mary Beth Bugea of Picayune;one brother, Claude M. Madison of Gretna, Louisiana ;eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ignatius Joseph D’Antoni ;one brother, Joseph Anthony Madison ;two sisters, Marie Louise Madison Callaway and Hazel Ruth Madison Pfeiffer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Ministry or St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Elementary School.
