William Jerry McDuffie, age 73, of Picayune, Mississippi, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017.<br> <br>Visitation will be held Monday, September 18, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cedric Lumpkin officiating. Entombment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.<br><br>Mr. McDuffie was a lifetime resident of Pearl River County, a 33rd Degree Mason, a member of Moses Cook Lodge, and brick mason. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, but attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was an avid country music enthusiast and a volunteer host of the Country Classic Hour on WRJW on Wednesdays for many years. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.<br><br>He is survived by one son, Anthony McDuffie, and wife Michelle of Slidell; two sisters, Mary Alice Stockstill and Becky Martin, both of Picayune; three grandchildren, Hannah Nichole McDuffie, Alaina Sherrill McDuffie, and Reed Alexander McDuffie. <br><br>He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston McDuffie and Ruth Smith McDuffie; his wife, Sherry (Sherrill) Jean Bates McDuffie; one sister, Myrtle Edge; two brothers, Willard Eugene McDuffie and Billy Wayne McDuffie, who passed away September 14th and his service is Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel.<br>
