William Everett “Ebb” Mitchell, age 79, of Carriere passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Slidell. Visitation will be held at Roseland Park Baptist Church on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., the Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Bro. Walt Barnes and Bro. Jimmy Albritton officiating. Burial will be at Carriere Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Douglas officiating, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home. He was born in Santa Rosa, Mississippi, a life time resident of Pearl River County and a member of Roseland Park Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years Jane Ann Mitchell of Carriere; two sons Glen (Debra) Mitchell of Slidell and Michael (Ruth) Mitchell of Carriere; four daughters Kathy Mitchell Baucum of Carriere, Linda Mitchell of Euless, Texas, Brenda Mitchell of Carriere and Tina (Dean) Bourlet of Carriere; two sisters Betty Lou DuFor of New Orleans and Ada Rae Danby of Poplarville, Nineteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Willie Ellis Mitchell, Sr. and Obedia Thigpen Mitchell; two brothers Ira Lee Mitchell and Willie Ellis Mitchell, Jr.; one sister Ida Mae Martinez.
