Willie Raye Bess, age 77, of Saucier, Mississippi, passed away November 5, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ken Forehand officiating. Burial will be at Burgetown Cemetery. Mrs. Bess was a resident of Saucier for twenty-five years, a homemaker and a member of Living Word Church. She is survived by five sons, William Thomas Legg, Lelon Legg, Jr., John David Legg, Ray Merle Legg and Timothy Lee Legg; two daughters, Desiree Ann Pettis and Lisa Gaye Martin; one sister, Annie Merle Hedgepeth; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William R. Pearson and Annie E. Pearson; her husbands, Marvis E. Bess and Lelon Legg, Sr.; and sister, Milo Taylor.
