Charles Gee

Mr. Charles Thomas Gee, 78, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018, at the Mississippi Care Center in Corinth. Mr. Gee was born in Sardis, MS on March 14, 1940 to The Late Ethel Carter Gee and William Finch Gee. A native of Pleasant Grove, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Gee made his career as an agriculture pilot and was a member of the Agriculture Pilot Association. He spent 20 years of his life in West Africa where he was officially the first crop duster in that region. During his time in Africa, he was named Traditional Chief of the Weppa-Wanno region of Nigeria. Mr. Gee is survived by five daughters, Ashley Gee, Elizabeth, Neena, Tress Denise, and Tomi Ann; two sons, C. Thomas Gee, II and William Langston; and one brother, John Carter Gee. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 12pm in Pleasant Grove Methodist Church with Rev. John Howell, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the church on Friday from 11am until service time at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
