Mrs. Johnnie White Harmon, 84, of Sardis, MS passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Harmon was born on August 8, 1934 in Itta Bena, MS to The Late Cordie Hughes White and Walter Jackson White. She was a member of Sardis Church of Christ and was an avid gardener who loved the beauty of flowers. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed as she is remembered for her kind heart and gentle spirit. Mrs. Harmon leaves behind her loving family which includes her daughter, Patricia Smith (Sam) of Southaven, MS; her son, Jeffrey Harmon of Sardis, MS; seven grandchildren, Holly Jennings (Chad) of Reno, NV, Julia Long (John) of Plano, TX, Jennifer Elinkowski of Glenburnie, MD, Brenton Smith of Vancouver, WA, Kristy Burns of Cleveland, MS, Nathan Darby, and Jessie Darby, both of Batesville, MS; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Freddie Hampton Harmon and her parents. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at 1 pm in the Sardis Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home with Bro. Hal Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 am - 1 pm. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
