Bobby Peeples Senatobia, Mississippi Obituary

Bobby Peeples

Bobby Lynn Peeples, 76, of Independence, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family, on March 27, 2017. He was born on April 11, 1940 in Carrollton, MS to Mary Jewel Collins and Joseph Everette Peeples. Anyone who knew Bobby, knew he enjoyed time with people. He never met a stranger and quickly made friends with almost everyone he met. During his 30 years as a letter carrier for the Senatobia Postal Service, he made friends from all walks of life. He enjoyed a visit to Coleman’s BBQ and Peter Pan Service Station almost daily to visit with his friends. After retirement, Bobby loved to spend his spare time cutting grass and creating cedar wood carvings in his little workshop, which was often referred to as Bobby’s “Museum” because he found treasure in things that others would consider trash, to which he would creatively display with its newfound purpose. A life that spanned almost 77 years cannot be condensed into a few words. Those that knew Bobby and were loved by him have truly been blessed. He will be missed so much. Bobby is survived by his wife of 52 years, Retha Pope, his daughter, Jennifer Wooten (Phil) of Independence; his son, Lynn Peeples (Amy) of Barr; grandsons, Wade Peeples, Mark Peeples, Lane Peeples and Cody Peeples, all of Barr; granddaughters, Jessi Peeples and Jodi Peeples of Barr; and brother, James Peeples of Tunica. He was preceded in death by his father, Everette Peeples; his mother Jewel Schoggin, and brothers, Billy Peeples, Edwayne Peeples and Joseph Peeples, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home in Senatobia, MS. Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Interment will take place in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Independence, following the funeral services. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
