Joseph E. Henderson

Mr. Joseph E. Henderson, 87, of Sarah, MS, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 in Tate County, MS. Mr. Henderson was born in Memphis, TN on July 18, 1929 to The Late Ethel Sherrard Henderson and Edward E. Henderson. He proudly served his country with the United States Army in Korea, and was a retired tug boat captain. He leaves behind his loving family, which includes his daughter, Sallye Walker; two sons, Carl Henderson and Sam Henderson, all of Strayhorn; one sister, Juanita Wright of Southaven, MS; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Marie Henderson; his son, Joseph Henderson, Jr.; and his parents. In keeping with Mr. Henderson's wishes, the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home - Senatobia Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
