Johnny L. Barber of Goodson, Missouri died Saturday, March 21st, 2020 at the age of 86 years, 7 months, and 10 days. Johnny was born to Frank and Nila Faye (Barnes) Barber in Fairfax, Oklahoma on August 12, 1933. Later he moved with his parents to California. Johnnya??s parents were faithful church members. As a young man Johnny sought the Lord, was saved, and baptized into the Santa Paula Missionary Baptist Church. In the 1960a??s the family moved to a farm near Goodson Missouri. Johnny loved working on the farm, driving tractors, chopping wood, and going fishing with friends and relatives. Johnny joined Goodson Missionary Baptist church where he remained a member until his death. Johnny spent several of his last years in nursing homes in Bolivar and Buffalo. He passed the time painting bird houses, listening to music cassettes, and making bead necklaces which he liked to give (or sell if he could) to the ladies. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by several cousins and many friends he made in life. Funeral services will be held at Pitts Chapel with burial at Mt.
