Charles "Chuck" Reed, Jr.

Charles W. Reed, Jr. 1927-2017 Cameron, Missouri- Charles “Chuck” Walter Reed, Jr. 90, Cameron, passed away on July 6, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. The Lord came by early this morning and took Chuck with Him. Chuck was born on July 3, 1927 in Youngstown, Ohio, he and his sister, Patty were adopted by Dr. Charles W. Sr. and Stella (Mauzey) Reed. His parents preceded him in death. Chuck was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II. He worked as an engineer for Ford Motor Company and TWA, before retiring. He was a very active member of the First Baptist Church, Cameron. He served the church as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Treasurer. He was also a member of the Vincil Lodge #62 AF & AM, Cameron, Moila Shrine, St. Joseph and the Mechanist Union. On October 24, 1952, Chuck married Naomi Eileen Pearl at the First Baptist Church, Cameron. Survivors: wife of 64 years, Eileen Reed, of the home; son, Chuck Reed, Olathe, Kansas; daughter, Denise Reed, Overland Park, Kansas; Sister, Patty Newland, Portland, Oregon; sister-in-law, Coleen Morgan, Cameron; many nieces and nephews; and 3 grand dogs. Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Monday, July 10, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Cameron. Visitation: 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM, prior to the service. Inurnment: Graceland Memorial Cemetery, Cameron.
