Cleo Baker

Cleo F. Baker of Cuba, Missouri was born on Friday, May 11, 1928 at Marquand, Missouri to the union of Tony Baker and Gladys (nee: Masters) Baker and left from this life on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 80 years 3 months and 12 days. Cleo proudly served in the United States Navy from 1946 until 1952. Cleo was united in marriage to Carmella LoDuca on September 6, 1953 at St. Louis, Missouri and to this union four children were born; Angeli, Paula, Steven and Katie. Cleo attended Georgia Tech and received a degree in Diesel Mechanic. Cleo was the President and Owner/operator of Anpaul Window Company (in the St. Louis, Cuba and Washington areas) for 45 years before retiring April 23, 2001. He was a member of the NFIB for 15 years, the Knights of Columbus and served as President of the Board of Directors for the Shrine of St. Joseph for many years. Cleo spent the majority of his life working, but the most important thing to him was his family and spending time with them. Cleo is preceded in death by his parents Tony and Gladys Baker, one brother T.J. Baker and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his loving wife Carmella Baker of the home, his four children Angeli Baker of Florissant, Missouri, Paula and husband Ray Harvey of New Haven, Missouri, Steven and wife Stella Baker of Milton, Florida and Katie and husband Dean Pluth of Camdenton, Missouri, one sister Verna and husband Jerry Thacker of Milton, Florida, thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Monday, August 25th from 5 till 8 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba and Tuesday, August 26th from 9 till 11 AM at the Shrine of St. Joseph (1220 N 11th St.) St. Louis, Missouri. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, August 26th at the Shrine of St. Joseph. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery (St. Louis) with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shrine of St. Joseph in Cleo’s memory. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Baker family.
