Louis E. "Luke" House of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Louis A. and Ida Mae (Fatka) House on Thursday, May 31, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Friday, April 18, 2008 at his home at the age of 56 years 10 months and 18 days. Luke was united marriage to Kathy Thomas December 27, 1969 in Ballwin, Missouri and to this union two children were born Bob and Tracey. Luke retired from the Chrysler Plant in Fenton as an Assembly Line Worker after many years of dedicated service. He proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a former member of V.F.W. Post #7147 and had helped with the Cuba Ball Program. Luke was an avid Cardinals fan and enjoyed fishing, hunting, his cows, tractor and his dog named Buford. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Luke is preceded in death by his parents Louis A. House and Ida Mae (Fatka) House; two brothers John and Michael House; one sister Jacqulyn House. Those who left to cherish his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Kathy House of Cuba, Missouri; one son Bob House of Bourbon, Missouri; one daughter Tracey and husband Ron Hughes of Cuba, Missouri; one brother Leonard and wife Barbara House of Cuba, Missouri; father-in-law Dave and wife Pat Thomas of Ballwin, Missouri; mother-in-law Violet and husband Larry Farris of Cuba, Missouri; sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation: Sunday, April 20, 2008 3-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral: Monday, April 21, 2008 11:00 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Schanbacher, officiating. Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri with full military honors.
