Edward (Ed) DeWayne Vanderslice , 57 of Moberly, Missouri passed away at his home on Saturday, June 22, 2019 surrounded by the love of his family and Hospice Compassus of Macon. Ed was born October 12, 1961 the son of Roy and Nellie Mae (Channel) Vanderslice in Lawrence Kansas. On May 22, 1992, he married the love of his life Kathy Stanphill. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clifford Vanderslice, one sister, Ella Mae Callbert. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Vanderslice; three daughters, Katlin D. Vanderslice, Sarah J.Vanderslice and Betsy Vanderslice all of Moberly; brother-in-law, also know as his right hand man, Vance Sharp and sister-in-law, Kelly Sharp; nephews, Wyatt and Wade Sharp; special aunt, Betty Lou Ireland of Hutchinson, KS; two brothers, Nathan and John Vanderslice; one sisters. Ruthann Vanderslice along with numerous nieces’ nephews and cousins. Ed was a family man devoted to the love and care of his wife and children. He especially loved children and would do just about anything for his family. Ed was known for his sense of humor, joking around and a very cool and fun uncle. Christmas was one of Ed’s favorite holidays with his daughters and nephews. He also enjoyed wrestling, reading books and exploring every bookstore he came across. Ed was always up for a road trip with his family and many adventures were had. Ed’s wishes were for cremation and for his cremains to be spread at a later date.
