Kathy was a very loving woman, a bit of a spit fire and often perceived as coming across a little hard and tough as a mode of protecting her big heart. She always had a big story to tell was always the life of the party and provided entertainment but also had the heart that would give you anything that you needed and help in any way. She loved God and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She prayed every night and loved reading her Bible which gave her strength and guidance along with pulling her through a 23-year battle of cancer. She loved her children and was the kind of mom that like to have fun and loved fun times with her children playing catch or wrestling them to the ground. She was also the kind of mom that would give you the iron claw if needed, lend an ear to listen or pick you up and dust you off. She loved water and swimming one of her favorite things to do with the children was to load them all up and take them to the reservoir on her shoestring budget. Being a mother was an important job to Kathy and she knew that it was her responsibility to instill in them the goodness of the Lord and give them a firm foundation in Christ. Kathy was a very devoted and caring mother who always wanted the best for her children. She was a lover of many things such as listening to all kinds of music and playing the violin. She learned how to play the violin in high school and would often be found playing the violin in her sleep many years later. Kathy also enjoyed crocheting, rock and arrowhead hunting as well as collecting arrowheads. She loved to spend time with her mother and getting to know her grandchildren. She loved dancing, and teaching each of her grandchildren how to dance. She enjoyed their younger years of taking them trick-or-treating with her friend Ted and just getting to know them and share her love for Christ. Kathy has won her victory in Christ, and Heaven has gained a fabulously gifted violinist. The family has chosen the gentle and eco-friendly Cremation H2O service provided by A Simplified Funeral Solution in Green Castle. A Memorial Celebration in her honor will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family and can be sent to the Funeral Home at PO Box 57 Green Castle, MO. 63544.
