Philip Troy Berry, 35, passed away September 2, 2016 in Burlington IA. Philip was born on June 24, 1981 in Centerville, IA to Jeff and Denise (Laux) Berry. Philip was preceded in death by his grandfather Philip Laux; grandmother Wilma Berry; and uncle Mike Laux. Philip is survived by his parents, David and Denise Rummelhart of Ottumwa, Iowa, Jeff and Jenni Berry of Green City, Missouri. One daughter of Mesa, Arizona, Four sisters; Shana (James) Wedlake, Nicole Rummelhart, Jammie (Joel) Berry and Jessica (Josue) Melgar. Three brothers, Shawn (Laura) Berry, Justin (Crystal) Berry and Roy Rummelhart; grandparents John and Deloris Berry of Unionville and Barbara Laux of Bloomfield, Iowa; three nephews; Roger Wedlake, Jace Pagan, Liam Melgar; and his cat Simon. Philip lived most of his life in Ottumwa Iowa. Philip graduated from Ottumwa High School in 2001 where he was involved in JROTC and lettered in Drama Arts. Philip enjoyed music, drawing, video games and writing. He loved spending time with his cat Simon but most of all he loved his family. Philip struggled with depression, which he battled for years. Philip will always be remembered for his courage during difficult times, and even though he could not find peace here, we know he is at rest now without pain. A Memorial Service Celebrating Philip's life will be held Saturday September, 10, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Green City Christian Church in Green City, Missouri.
