Sidney "Earl" Bradford

Sidney Earl Bradford, age 86, passed away at 6:04PM on February 24, 2021, surrounded by family in his Independence home. Earl was born to John A. and Lola G. Bradford on November 19, 1934 in Clear Springs, MO. Earl married Lora L. Thompson on January 14, 1956. They were married for 55 years, until the time of her passing, on February 25, 2011. They lived the majority of their lives in Independence, MO where they raised their four children. Earl was raised outside of Willow Springs, MO and came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at an early age. He graduated from Willow Springs High School. He worked as a lumberjack in Wyoming and then worked as a welder the majority of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family at their lake property, fishing and hunting with his siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved watching sports, westerns, and Wheel of Fortune. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his son Rick, seven siblings, and one great-grandson, Zachary. Earl is survived by daughter-in-law Shelley, son Donnie Bradford (Linda), son Jared Bradford (Tara), daughter Kathy Keen (Mark), eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, four siblings, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Earl will be Monday, March 1 at 6:00PM at Carson-Speaks Funeral Home, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. 64052. A private funeral will be held for the family on Tuesday, March 2. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Phoenix Hospice.
