Marcia Armstrong, 68, of Independence, MO passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017. A private burial will take place. Marcia was born on September 16, 1949 in Independence, MO to Wando and Doris (Potter) Stephenson. She was a registered nurse for St. Luke’s Hospital and Independence Regional Hospice. In her spare time she enjoyed the theater – acting, directing and writing. She also liked to do different kinds of crafts. She was a past member of Beta Sigma Phi, Encore Theater and St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. She will be remembered by her husband of 40 years Dale Armstrong of the home; son Brian Armstrong of Independence, MO; daughter Amy Armstrong of Independence, MO; and sister Debra Goldsmith of Grain Valley, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and older sister Patricia Dugger. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
