Marcia J. German, 68, Independence, MO passed away June 24, 2017.Committal Services will be 11 am, Friday, July 7 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginville, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday, July 6 at the chapel. Marcia was born April 25, 1949 in Independence and was a life-long resident other than her service time. She was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Korea during the Vietnam era. She was a member of the Sugar Creek VFW Post and served as a member of the Honors Team there. She enjoyed playing guitar, singing and song writing. Marcia was preceded in death by brother Danny German. She is survived by son Edward German; brother Richard German; sister/cousin Christie Butler and friends Gwen and Tom Riederer.
