Ruby Dolores Sharp, 84, of Independence Missouri, passed away October 3, 2017, at home surrounded by family, friends and her beloved dogs. She was born on February 9, 1933, in Kansas City, MO to Howard Lee Howell and Coline Montez Smith. She graduated in 1951 from Manuel High School. She retired from AT&T in 1982 after 30 years of service. She is preceded in death by her husband Bert and daughter Melinda. She is survived by a daughter in law, son in law, four loving granddaughters, cousins and her beloved dogs Baby doll and Lexi. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel.
