William "Bill" E. Johnson, 79, Blue Springs, MO died peacefully in his home June 11, 2017. Services will be at 10 am, Thursday, June 15 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed. at the Chapel. The family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society Greater Kansas City Chapter. 1120 Pennsylvania Avenue. Kansas City, MO 64105. Bill was born on September 9, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to Lonnie and Goldie Johnson. He proudly served his country in both the U. S. Navy and U. S. Coast Guard. He was a distinguished member of the Shriners as a Provost Captain. As a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, he was recognized for his research and proof being the 6th Grandson of Daniel Boone. Bill is survived by his daughters, Susan Smith of Arkansas, Lana Hagenbucher of Texas, Cynthia Perry of Missouri, Lisa Jeffrey of Florida; his sister Sharon Alger of Missouri; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie and Goldie Johnson, brother Robert Johnson and his wife Brenda Johnson.
