Cynthia Lee “Cindy” Burton, 47 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at her residence. Cremation is planned with a memorial gathering to be held from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Inurnment will be at a later date in Buckner Hill Cemetery. Cindy was born March 16, 1970 in Independence, MO to Larry and Bertha (Meier) McMinn and has been a lifelong area resident graduating from Blue Springs High School in 1989. She had worked in childcare for a number of years. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed collecting unicorns and going to the casino’s. Survivors include; her husband, Brett Burton of the home; 3 children, Daniel Burton of St. Louis, MO, Michael Burton and Marissa Burton of Independence, MO; her parents, Larry and Bertha McMinn of Independence, MO and a brother, John McMinn and wife Suzie of Blue Springs, MO and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
