Joyce S. Driskell, 82, Independence, MO passed away Oct. 3, 2017. Services will be 11 am, Sat., Oct. 7 at Maywood Baptist Church; burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 pm, Friday at the church. The family requests contributions to www.kidneyfund.org. Joyce was born July 11, 1935 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Northeast High School. Among her positions during her working career were at Independence Regional Hospital and Maywood Baptist Church. She was a servant to God as a member of Maywood Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and served as a Missionary Hostess. She was very talented at arts and crafts and was a fun-loving jokester. She supported all of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Bob Driskell and daughter Julie Kay Douglas. She is survived by sister Patty Harms, Sun City, AZ; sons Doug Driskell and wife Arlene, Lee’s Summit, MO; Darrell Driskell and wife Kelli, Independence, MO; Kevin Driskell and wife Kim, Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren Ginger Birch and husband Michael Lee’s Summit, MO; Rosie Fyffe and husband James, Kansas City, MO; Ben Driskell, Blue Springs, MO; Dustin Driskell and wife Jamie, Raytown, MO; Drew Driskell and fiancée Ashley, Grandview MO; Karissa Pearl and husband Brandon, Raytown, MO; Zach Driskell, Independence, MO; Spc. Aaron Driskell and wife Katrina, Monterey, CA; great-grandchildren Julien, Harper, Gracie, Liam, Kenley, Braxdon and Whitley.
