Sharon L. Myers, 67 of Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the chapel. Sharon was born December 16, 1949 in Beach Grove, IN to Marvin and Margaret (Bunch) Patterson and has been a longtime area resident. She had worked in the laboratory at St. Mary’s Medical center for over 18 years before she retired. She was an animal lover and also enjoyed antique collecting. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hermitage, MO. Survivors include; 3 sons, Kevin Myers and wife Maria of Blue Springs, MO, Michael Myers of Independence, MO and Greg Myers and wife DeeAnn of Blue Springs, MO; her mother, Margaret Patterson of Independence, MO; a step daughter, Angel Scheer and husband Russell of Nevada, MO and 9 grandchildren, Justin, Patrick, Daniel, Ryan, Emily, Megan, Anthony, Heather and Tiffany. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Myers in 2013, her father in 2005, a brother, Rollin Patterson in 2006 and grandparents Felix and Dee Bunch.
