Tyler Aaron Earring Obituary

Tyler A. Earring 34, of Playa Del Rey, CA passed away to his eternal home on July 25, 2016 to join family and friends who had passed before him. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday, August 5, 2016 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the chapel. Tyler was born on June 27, 1982 to Gregory Aaron and Ruth Ann (Ahls) Earring in Independence, MO. He attended Blackburn Elementary School in Independence. After moving to Raymore he attended middle school and high school at Ray-Pec, where he graduated in 2000. Tyler received an Academic Scholarship to Missouri State University in Springfield. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Media Production and Advertising. After graduating Tyler set his sights on the American Film Institute. He was accepted by the prestigious school, where only 14 editing students are accepted each year. In May of 2007 Tyler received his Master's Degree from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, CA. He specialized in Film Editing. Tyler worked as a film editor on various TV shows throughout his career including: The League, Wilfred, Blackish, The Goldbergs, and The Muppet Show. Tyler loved his work and took great pride in it. He discovered early on that editing was the key to the success of a great film. Tyler was always willing to help friends with their film projects in spite of his own busy schedule. Tyler had everything a man could want except someone to share it with. A year ago Tyler found that love, a veterinarian of small and exotic animals in Marina Del Rey named Poorna Chowdry. Both were looking forward to getting married in 2017 and beginning a life together. In Poorna, Tyler had found the missing piece in his life. His family will always be grateful for the profound joy and happiness that Tyler experienced this last year. During his time in L.A., Tyler was influential in the lives of many people. He never met a stranger, his contagious smile and quick wit allowed him to make friends easily. Everyone wanted to be around Tyler because of his accepting nature. He was one of the rare individuals who made a positive impact on everyone he met. He made people want to be better. Tyler will be missed beyond measure by his family as he was truly the light that shined bright in their world, and now the world is a little dimmer without him. We are all better people for having known him. Survivors include; father and stepmother, Greg and Judy Earring; mother and stepfather, Ruth and Richard Myers; grandparents James Ahls, Opal Riley, and Jerri Hudson; a very large extended family and many friends from across the country.
