William Hardman

Bill Hardman, 88, of Oak Grove, MO passed away October 11, 2017. A visitation will be held from 9-10am followed by a 10:00 am funeral service on Monday, October 16, 2017, at Faith United Methodist Church, 1950 SE Eagle Parkway, Grain Valley, MO 64029. A graveside service will be 3pm on Monday, October 16, 2017 at I.O.O.F. First Christian Church Cemetery in Golden City, MO. Bill was born on September 11, 1929 in Garnett, KS, one of 11 children born to Russell and Tracy (Samuel) Hardman. Bill started working as a tool and die maker for Duncan Industries. He was soon promoted to Plant Manager where he remained until his retirement in 1994. In 2008 he moved from Harrison, AR where he served as a Deacon at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, relocating to Oak Grove and joining Faith United Methodist Church. Bill was a proud Mason for over 50 years. He enjoyed wood working, gun collecting, and watching any movie with John Wayne. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially if it meant eating out! Survivors include; daughter Debbie Neece and her husband Wayne; son Russ and his wife Aleca; grandchildren Robert Kimes, Sarah Rathbun and her husband Duane, Tiffany Johnson, and Ashley McCutcheon; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and a large extended family. Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Alice Lee (Hall) Hardman; his parents; and 10 siblings.
