Ann was given life by her parents, Lola and Bob Beretta. Her life was fulfilled when she married Jerry in 1959. It was enriched with the birth of their two children. Julie and Greg brought further happiness to the family with their marriages to Mike and Kim. When she became “Buddy” to Austin, Berkley and Carson, her life was complete.
There was a special place in her heart for all of her golfing buddies. The friendships and all the years of fun were priceless.
At Ann’s request, there will be no formal services. Cremation will be private. It was her hope that her friends would celebrate her life and recount their times together in their own way at a celebration of life on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Indian Hills Country Club.
The family requests no flowers. Those who wish may contribute to The First Tee of Kansas City, 7501 Blue River Road, Kansas City, MO 64132.
I am standing on the seashore.
A ship spreads her sails to the morning
Breeze and starts for the ocean.
I stand watching her until she fades on the horizon.
Someone at my side says “She is gone!”
Gone where? The loss of sight is in me. Not in her.
Just at the moment when someone says,
“She is gone”,
There are others who are watching her coming.
Other voices take up the glad shout,
“Here she comes!”
