Ben Brown, 80, of Stilwell, KS passed away June 7, 2013, surrounded by his family. Ben was born June 11, 1932, in Goodland, KS. Ben was raised in Kansas City where he met Ginger, his wife of 57 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lois (Hampton) Brown, and Ben Jr. He is survived by his wife, two of their three children and two grandchildren.
He was employed by BC Christopher as a stock broker for most of his career. Ben sat on the Aubry Township Zoning Board for 17 years and the Johnson County Planning Commission where he represented a voice for the people. He was a member of Sons of the Am. Revolution and was proud to serve as a Deputy Sheriff. Ben was known for his love of nature and taking in stray animals.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Monday, June 10th followed by Service at 10 a.m. at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost, KC, MO. Private interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to KC Hospice & Palliative Care, who we are grateful for; or Wayside Waifs.
