Marge Limbocker, 80, found the peace she had been longing for on Thursday, February 3, 2011. The family will receive friends from 11:30am to 1:00pm, Saturday, February 12th at Family of God Church, 1231 NW Eugene St, Topeka KS., followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave Kansas City , MO 64105-2281 .
Marge was born May 8, 1930, in Hays, KS, the daughter of Alvis and Helen “Nellie” Case DeForest. The family moved to Wichita , KS in 1943 where she graduated from Planeview High School , attended Friends University and graduated from Felt-Tarrant Business College. She moved to Topeka in 1966, then to Denver , CO in 1980 and back to Topeka in 1989.
Ms. Marge was a member of the former Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, where she was very active in the music department, Primetimers and taught in the Missionette Program. She was married to Hayden Limbocker in Wichita , KS in 1951. They were divorced in 1978. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Vicky Lynn Limbocker in 1953; grandson, Brian Strohm in 1990; and brothers, Elbert and Kenneth DeForest. She leaves behind to join her later, sons, Michael David-Ray (Gene) of Lees Summit, MO, Terry Limbocker (Anita), of Rogers, AR; daughters Jenise Thompson (Scott), of Manhattan, KS, Mechelle Arndt (Kevin), of Blue Springs, MO; brothers, Al DeForest, Wichita, KS, Bob DeForest, Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Lois Kloefkorn, Surprise, AZ; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family is very grateful to the staff at Aldersgate Village for their wonderful care over the past few years, as well as Midland Hospice for the additional assistance at the end.
