Jeannette Corrigan

Corrigan, Jeannette (nee Baskett), passed away; on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Jeannette was the devoted wife of the late William Corrigan and is survived by her daughter, Kathie Sue and son-in-law, Norvin Breeck; her sister Marie Washburn; niece Lisa Wright, and an extended loving family. Jeannette began teaching at 17, with 2 years of college, in a 1 room schoolhouse, grades 1st through 8th. She graduated from Springfield Teachers College and then received her Master’s Degree from Washington University. She taught middle school, was an elementary principal at Valley Park for 7 years and ended her long teaching career at Nipher Middle School. Jeannette was a faithful Eastern Star member for 67 years holding many offices and playing the organ/piano for years. Jeannette was also a member of the Kirkwood United Methodist Church for 70 years. Services: Eastern Star Service Saturday, JUNE 15th at 1:30 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd, Kirkwood.
