Bonnie Ray Swalley 1940 - 2019 Maryville, Missouri - Bonnie Ray Swalley, 79, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. Bonnie was born on May 12, 1940 in Westboro, Missouri to Lester Ray and Alyce Marie (Deaver) Hunt. She was a 1959 graduate of Horace Mann High School and a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church. She worked as a shift manager at the Hitching Post Restaurant and worked in home health care, she later was a cook at Energizer Battery for many years. She married Francis Stiens in January 1960 and later divorced. She later married Francis Swalley and later divorced, but remained close friends until his death. She was also preceded by her parents and one son, Brian Anthony Stiens. Survivors include her children, Clinton Francis (Linda) Stiens, Conception Junction, Missouri, Nathan Patrick (Jill) Stiens, Hopkins, Missouri, Troy Ray (Martha) Stiens, St. Joseph, Missouri, Tyler Shon Stiens (Nikki DeJulis), Coalville, Utah and Shannon (Angela) Stiens, Shawnee, Kansas; six sisters, Tanis Colwell, St. Joseph, Missouri, Connie Wilmes, Maryville, Missouri, Jeanne Jackson, Independence, Missouri, Gayla Reeves, Bonner Springs, Kansas, Carole Middleton, Maryville, Missouri and Joy Harms, Spring Hill, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Troy Stiens, Peter Gonzales, Marie (Drew) Guntert, Olivia Stiens, Brian Stiens, Ben Stiens and Lucy Stiens; two great-grandchildren Ella and Evelyn Guntert and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 11am Friday, November 15, 2019 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church under the care of Price Funeral Home, Maryville. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, Maryville, Missouri. Rosary 5pm Thursday, November 14, 2019 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the rosary until 7pm.
