Sheila K. Kelly 1940 - 2019 Maryville, Missouri - Sheila Kay Kelly, 79 of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri. Sheila was born February 1, 1940 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to the late Dwain and Kathryne (Brown) Daughton. She was a graduate of Grand River Iowa High School and received her B.S. degree from Iowa State University. She married Alfred B. Kelly on May 29, 1962 in Grand River, Iowa. Early in their marriage, she worked as a dietitian while Alfred furthered his education. Eventually, she turned all her focus to managing their home and family life. As a wife, sister, daughter, mother, and grandmother, Sheila's family was her everything. She had a formidable vegetable garden, impressive bridge skills, and a strong interest in current events and women's rights. She enjoyed cooking for loved ones, playing Pitch with family and finding a good bargain wherever possible. All through it all, she gave selflessly to every life she touched. Her survivors include Alfred and their children, Debbie (Jeff) Kieffer, Lenexa, KS, Doug (Phyllis) Kelly, Lee's Summit, MO, and Diane (Bryan) Kopp, Leawood, KS; two brothers, James (Della) Daughton, Minneapolis, MN and Bruce Daughton Billings, MT; three grandchildren Matthew (Lizzie) Kieffer, Blaine Kelly and Anna Kelly. Services 2PM, Monday, November 25th at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. A private family burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time on Monday prior to the service. "An investment in knowledge pays the best interest" was an adage Sheila embraced.
