Pauline Elaine (Silvy) Copeland of Potosi, Missouri was born on Tuesday, February 22, 1927 in DesArc, Missouri. A daughter of the late, Pearl (Laxton) Silvy and the late, Ed Silvy. Pauline departed this life on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 having reached the age of ninety years, one month and twenty-eight days. Pauline met and married Jim Copeland in 1948 and 6 children were born to that union. Pauline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, niece, cousin, and friend. She is survived by two daughters, Judy and husband, Eugene Neff of Potosi, Missouri; Linda Copeland of O’Fallon, Missouri; three sons, Donald Copeland of Potosi, Missouri; James and wife, Dianna Copeland of Potosi, Missouri; William "Willy" and wife, Barbara Copeland of Tallahassee, Florida; one sister, Clara Boatwright of Florissant, Missouri; one brother, Bobby Silvy of DesArc, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Jason, Sarah, Nick, Donnie, Amanda, Michael, Christopher, Amanda, Justin; four great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Alexis, Kolton, Parker; her special canine companion, Maggie; also surviving are nieces, nephew, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Copeland, parents, Pearl Silvy and Ed Silvy, one daughter, Mary Copeland, eight brothers, Harry Silvy, Leonard Silvy, Ray Silvy, Chester Silvy, Willard Silvy, Georgie Silvy, Claude Silvy and Floyd Silvy. Pauline accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior as a young child and continued to grow in her faith throughout her life and always looked forward to attending church. She loved her family, eating dessert, having visitors and going to parties. Pauline enjoyed listening to gospel music, going to the beach and playing with her dog, Maggie. She knew no stranger and she considered everyone to be her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone she loved and who loved her. Visitation was held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 11:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. Final prayers and burial took place in the Meadows Cemetery in Annapolis, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Amanda Copeland, Sarah Copeland, Jason Griggs, Nick Copeland, Donnie Copeland, Michael Copeland, Jeremy Geyer, Caleb Coffman and honorary pallbearer, Calvin Silvy. Services were entrusted under the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, MO 63664.
