Russell Lee Thebeau known by family and friends as Teeks, departed this life on August 31, 2017 at his home in Cadet, Missouri surrounded by the love and care of his family. Teeks was Eighty-one years, six months and two day of age. He was born on February 29, 1936 in Old Mines, a son of the late Cecilia (Bequette) Thebeau and Clarence Thebeau. Teeks was united in Marriage to Viola Ann Courtway on August 14, 1965 in Old Mines and they were blessed to have five children born to the union. Teeks is survived by his dear and loving wife Viola Thebeau of Cadet; five children, Alan Guenther and his wife Judy of Cadet, Vanessa Stiles of Ferguson, Darlene Kavanaugh and her husband Terry of Bonne Terre, Myra Boyster and her husband Kelly of Cadet and Jill Hayes and her husband Shane of Cadet. One sister, Lavern Hale of St. louis and two brothers, Reverend Lyn Thebeau and his wife Nona of Potosi and Glenn Thebeau of St. Louis. Seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He not only leaves his dear family but also many other dear and special relatives and friends. Teeks was a member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri. He was an avid woodworker and loved spending time in his shed making doll houses and many other projects. He was always on the go working and passing time whistling. He enjoyed coin collecting. His greats love was his family. Taking time to spend with each of them especially the grand kids. His arms were always open to them and always had a shoulder for them to lean on. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines.
