Thomas "Jap" Juliette

Thomas Bernard “Jap” Juliette of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on February 16, 1936 in Old Mines, Missouri and departed this life on April 1, 2017 at the St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-one years, one month and sixteen days. A son of the late, Mary Lucy (Politte) Juliette and the late, Patrick E. Juliette. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Kincaid and four brothers, Charles Juliette, Glennon Juliette, Patrick Juliette and Joseph Juliette. He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth (Mueller) Juliette of Mineral Point, Missouri; three sisters, Martha Celeste Bone of Farmington, Missouri; Betty Ann Coleman of Blackwell, Missouri; Mary Nancy Goff of Old Mines, Missouri; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. “Jap” served his country by enlisting into the United States Army on June 30, 1954. While serving he received the National Defense Service Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Dev, Vietnam Service Medal, 2 Overseas Bars, 9 Service Stripes, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Carbine Badge Expert, Good Conduct Medal (4th Award). He received an honorable discharge upon his retirement after nearly 21 years of service to his county. After he retired out of the military “Jap” worked at the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends who will deeply miss him. Visitation was held Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. “Jap” received full military honors consisting of a firing party, taps, folding and presentation of the American Flag. A Graveside Service and Burial was Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Moore Funeral Homes was honored to have been selected to serve “Jap”, his family and friends in their time of remembrance.
