Margaret V. Goodwin, 91, a lifelong resident of Springfield, Missouri, died Sunday, September 24, 2017 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born March 10, 1926 in Springfield, Missouri to Cecil Eugene and Golden C. (Humphries) Harkness. She loved flower gardening and bird watching. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson Jeff Wester. Survivors include her husband Charles F. Goodwin, two daughters; Barbara (Wayne) Highley of Fair Grove, Missouri and Frances (Jess) Wood of Hurst, Texas, two grandchildren; Shannon Brake and Bridget Specone, six great grandchildren; Kelsey Brake, Dalton Brake, Jordan Wester, MaKenzie Brake, Jack Brake and Cody Brake, two great-great grandchildren; Kane Wester and Nova Wester. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Dr. Gary Stratman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
