Rosetta “Rose” Lorraine Harvill departed this life on October 15th , 2017 at her home in Ozark with her family by her side. Rose was born on November 10th,1954 in Nixa, Missouri to Charles “Floyd” and Helen (Cotter) Harvill. Rose was born and raised in the Ozarks. As a child Rose had a pet raccoon named Ringtail. Rose played softball with her sisters on a team coached by their dad. Rose devoted her life to being a homemaker and raising her children; she loved family gatherings and would often be found in the kitchen. Rose bowled on leagues for many years bowling with her mom and all of her children at some time or another. Rose’s other hobbies included trips to Silver Dollar City, yard selling, and watching her favorite channels Sci-Fi and Destination America. Rose’s greatest love was her devoted family. Rose is survived by her daughters Cathy Compton and her husband Robert of Springfield, Tammy Stone and her husband Don of Billings, Melisa Burk and her husband Steven of Springfield, a son John Morrow and his wife Debbie of Ozark. Thirteen grandchildren Russell, Brian, Eric, Dametra, Dakota, Austin, Steven, Shiane, Brittany, Brandon, LeeAnn, Lizabeth, and Jackson, eight great-grandchildren Raigen, Colton, Alysah, Amelia, Liam, Scott, Hunter and Novalee. Her sisters Sherry Brock and husband Keith of Springfield, Sandy Wilson of Republic, Terri Hambelton of Nixa and a brother Jeff Harvill of Republic. Rose is also survived by countless aunts, uncles and cousins. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Charles “Floyd” and Helen (Cotter) Harvill, a brother and his wife Robert “Bob” and Nina Harvill. Rose, Mom, Grandma, cheetahbug, you may be gone from our site but you will never be gone from our hearts. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 20th, 2017 at 2:00 pm. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with burial to follow in Squibb Cemetery, Bois D Ark. Visitation will be Thursday October 19th, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the funeral home. The family would appreciate donations for funeral expenses in lieu of flowers.
